Jedan je policajac podlegao ozljedama nakon novog napada na Kapitol u Washingtonu u petak, objavila je policija, dodajući da je i napadač mrtav.

“Jedan od dvojice ozlijeđenih policajaca podlegao je ozljedama”, rekla je šefica policije Kapitola Yogananda Pittman na konferenciji za novinare.

Osumnjičeni je automobilom krenuo na policajce, potom je izašao iz vozila naoružan nožem i policajci su na njega otvorili vatru pri čemu je ubijen, pojasnila je.

Policija je rekla da smatra da incident nije povezan s terorizmom.
